During the renovation of this traditional complex, lighting was used as a subtle architectural accent – enhancing the structure without disrupting its heritage. Our role focused solely on the implementation of IQL linear LED lighting, using carefully selected LED strips mounted into corten steel elements. Given the nature of the material – steel surfaces that reach over 70 °C in summer – the key challenge was choosing high-quality LED strips capable of withstanding thermal stress and outdoor conditions. The light lines are seamlessly integrated into architectural elements, such as recessed channels within corten frames and fence posts, allowing the LED strips to remain visually discreet while defining structure and space. The result is a refined and modern lighting signature that highlights paths, entrances, and architectural contrasts during nighttime – all while respecting and complementing the original character of the buildings.
