Residential house - Maribor

This residential house in Maribor stands out with its open floor plan, double-height living space, and a refined lighting concept that both enlivens and calms the interior. The architecture is based on a contrast between bright surfaces and dark accents, complemented by precisely directed lighting. In the main living area, custom-made IQL linear lights are seamlessly integrated into the ceiling lines, providing uniform illumination without visual noise. In the gallery space and staircase, decorative pendant lights serve as sculptural elements, enhancing the spatial dynamics and emphasizing the vertical volume of the interior. In the kitchen and dining area, black pendant lights create a striking contrast against the white backdrop and act as focal points above the island and dining table. Bedrooms and hallways are lit with low-profile ceiling fixtures that blend into the architecture, providing soft, diffused light. In the bathrooms and entrance hall, lighting is aligned with the spatial geometry and architectural cuts. The façade and outdoor terrace are equipped with anthracite-colored exterior lights that subtly highlight the structure and complete the house’s visual identity in the evening. In this project, lighting is not an afterthought – it is an integral part of the architectural composition: precisely planned, spatially embedded, and stylistically aligned.
